Things to do in Fantasyland - Attractions, Castle Attractions and Meet and Greets
If you have little ones, Fantasyland
is the place to be! In this land, you and your family will be immersed in a
truly magical section of the park and feel like princes, princesses, kings and
queens! There is a real range of activities to do in Fantasyland and the fact
that it is accessed via the castle makes it all that more magical. Fantasyland
is arguably the biggest of the 5 lands as it also includes the castle
attractions and has the most rides that are suitable for the younger ones.
How to get to
Fantasyland
If you are trying to get to Fantasyland from the end of Main Street U.S.A., head straight to the castle and you can walk straight through the castle entrance! You can also access Fantasyland from Adventureland on one side and to the left of the Discoveryland sign. Entering the land through the castle can be quite a surreal experience and it is amazing to enter the land this way with little ones as they see the carousel ahead which immerses you in the land immediately!

- La Galerie de la Belle au Bois Dormant – Any height – All ages – This is located in the upper part of the castle and is a wonderfully colourful and creative retelling of the story of Sleeping Beauty.

Meet and Greets
There are a couple of meet and greet points in Fantasyland but there are also very specific meet and greets and the characters change frequently/move throughout the day to different points.
- There is currently a meet and greet point for Alice in Wonderland characters near the carousel and Sir Mickey’s Boutique.
- Use the app to see which characters it says will be in the park on the day that you visit. If you use the ‘Characters’ filter option on the map it will show you where there are currently characters at meet and greet locations.
- There is a specific ‘Meet Mickey Mouse’ attraction which is an indoor meet and greet with the main mouse himself!
- The Princess Pavilion is the place to go to meet and greet with different Disney Princesses! This is an indoor meet and greet and the Princesses change frequently.
Anything Else?
- It’s a Small World attraction has just reopened after many, many months of closure so this may be a queue heavy attraction at this current moment in time!
- There are a number of restaurants and shops to visit in Fantasyland (explored in a later post).
- The shops in this area are absolutely magical and tell different stories so make sure that you explore these as well.
Top Tips:
- The Casey Jr. – le Petit Train du Cirque and Le Pays des Contes de Fées have slightly different operational hours and are open 9:30am to 9:00pm so even if you have extra magic hours you cannot access these outside of those hours. I would recommend getting there for around 9:30am if you wanted to go on these rides early on. There is also a meet and greet point by the Casey Jr. ride.
- There are different meet and greet points where characters may ‘randomly’ appear at different times of day so keep on the lookout for signs or for the characters themselves!
- Make use of the Disneyland Paris app or map.
- This land is absolutely magical for little ones and it is wonderful to see little faces light up when they see the different sights so take the time to take it all in and don’t worry about rushing around!
