May the 4th Be With You - Star Wars Attractions, Food and Merchandise


To celebrate May the 4th Be With You, it felt only right to do a Star Wars related post! The Star Wars aspects of Disneyland Paris are fantastic and I only hope that they add to this part of the park over the coming years, especially if they consider adding a specific Star Wars land! You can find Star Wars themed attractions, food items and merchandise in Discoveryland, which is located to the right of the circular parade route from Main Street U.S.A. 

Attractions

  • Star Tours: The Adventure Continues - Must be 1.02m to ride - Big thrills - This is a fantastic, interactive ride where you feel like you really are on a Starspeeder 1000! There are multiple different 'storylines' that you can get when you board this ride and the jump to hyperspace feels very real!
  • Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain - Must be 1.20m to ride - Big thrills - Photopass available - This ride used to be known as Space Mountain and was re-themed to Star Wars - This is most definitely a big thrills ride and you feel like you are being propelled into hyperspace and part of a space battle!
Meet and Greets
  • Welcome to Starport: A Star Wars Encounter - A meet and greet with Darth Vader himself! - This is a very specific meet and greet and the queue can be very long or close off before times indicated on the app due to waiting times. - There may sometimes be other Star Wars characters here too but it has only been Darth Vader when we have been there.
Themed Food and Drink
Note: Both places named below are located in Discoveryland.

Café Hyperion:
  • There is currently a BB-8urger (burger) available here - Any themed food that we have had at Disneyland Paris has been very good and worth the cost! 
  • There is also a BB-8 Dessert available at the Disneyland Park currently.
Cool Station:
  • It states that this on-the-go booth sells a range of Star Wars themed snacks and drinks.
  • A Grogu biscuit is available (this is also showing on the app).
  • I have also seen some posts of people getting Darth Vader waffles from this booth recently!
Merchandise
  • Star Traders - This is a Star Wars themed shop that you can access either to the right of the entrance to the Star Tours: The Adventure Continues ride or after exiting the Star Tours ride as this is where the exit brings you out.
  • In this shop, you can find all Star Wars themed merchandise from pyjamas, mugs and themed clothing to lightsabers and collectibles! 
  • There is a really nice selection of merchandise in this store and if you are a Star Wars fan, I am sure that you will find something! My favourite purchase from this shop is our Han Solo and Princess Leia mugs with one saying 'I love you' and the other saying 'I know'!
Top Tips:
- You may struggle with Star Tours: The Adventure Continues if you suffer badly with motion sickness as this ride involves wearing 3D glasses.
- Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain is one of the 'bigger' rides at Disneyland Paris and is a fantastic ride if you like rollercoasters and enjoy barrel roles! If you are a little unsure about rollercoasters, this ride may not be for you.
- The wait times to see Darth Vader can be very long, especially at peak times of the year so I would factor this time into your day if you wish to meet and greet with him.
- Check in at the Cool Station as sometimes they have food items available that are not on the app or website.
